A recent Government reveals the number of 25- to 34-year-old homeowners is on the rise.
The statistics were released by the English Housing Survey. Figure showed that the number of homeowners aged 25 to 34 has risen from 36% in 2013-14 to 41% in 2018-19. Furthermore, the proportion of 25-34-year-olds renting has fallen from its peak of 48% in 2013-14 to 41% in 2018-19.
This shows a reverse in the trend of renters surpassing homeowners in this age group. The 1.37m homeowning households in this age group is up 11 per cent from the previous year, narrowly being greater than the 1.36m renting tenants.
