A driver was caught doing double the speed limit when police carried out checks in the west of Edinburgh.
One driver was recorded doing 60mph on a road which has a limit of 30mph.
Another motorist was reported to the procurator fiscal for letting a child sit in a passenger’s lap.
Police Scotland’s roads unit urged drivers to take more care on the road.
They tweeted: “Edinburgh Road Policing were out conducting speed checks on Maybury Road today. Once again, excessive speeds detected with the highest being 60mph in a 30mph zone. 3 drivers reported to the PF. 1 driver also reported for allowing a young child to sit on his passengers lap.”
